The fourteenth annual ISDS Conference was held December 9 – 10, 2015 in Denver, Colorado at the Marriott City Center, with Pre-Conference Trainings on Tuesday, December 8. Throughout the world, public health surveillance experts use data for outbreak detection, community health monitoring and making informed public and clinical decisions. The theme for this year’s conference – Harnessing Data to Advance Health Equity – highlighted the importance of how data and new analytic methodologies can be used to promote health equity worldwide.

The three-day conference was designed to build individual and organizational capacity for public health surveillance at multiple levels— from the local to global. The program focused on strategies for incorporating the latest in surveillance approaches, methods, and results into data-driven public health practices, programs, and policies.

Attendees at the ISDS Conference gained the opportunity to network with surveillance professionals from public health practice, academic research, governmental agencies and other public and private sector stakeholders from across the world.
