Presenter Mike Alletto will describe how data are processed and transformed in BioSense v2.0. His presentation will include a technical overview of how data are extracted from an HL7 message and a review of the binning process.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this Webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Describe the process of reading raw HL7 messages, including application of rejection criteria and specific field processing. 
  2. Explain other special processing rules, such as the “100-mile rule” and the “24-hour sliding rule.”
